Titty Bittys

More titbits dealt with today, steering wheel assembly cleaned up and tightened, drivers door lock pin was in way of window winder assembly so had to reset it, rear seats back in after sealing in the behind seat section where the fuel tank is, in the hope of preventing some of the fuel smell. Carb choke spring re-wound and re-installed to operate flap, dodgy window winder repaired. They are a crazy design with a tapered pin holding the assembly together, which is great until there in any wear in the holes. A split pin might work, but have discovered a screw through the mechanism works wonders, and no more banging pins out with hammer and punch! Grease and oil change done also.

Things left to do:

* Wheel alignment front end
* Sound deadening under bonnet
* Carpet!
* Front tyres later down the track
* Sunvisor holders - find non rusty set

HORRAY!!! Passed Road Worthy today with new brake lines and ball joints. What a relief! I completely missed that last week was the 1 year anniversary of our ownership of this car. So 12 months from collection, to safe for road use status. Next week will see this thing finally put on the road, fully registered. At that time there will be much beer consumed, and many many thanks going out to all who helped out.

Until then, she is now under cover and the rear seats go back in this weekend (were removed for access to rear shockaz).
